You'll embark in Chongqing and arrive in Yichang. On the way, admire the river's cliffs and varied landscapes. You'll also hop from your cruise boat onto a local sampan, a very small boat for further discoveries.

Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival in Chongqing

You will board for a Yangtze river cruise at the end of the day.

Day 2: Beginning of the cruise

After breakfast, your guide will give you a brief introduction to the cruise itinerary. Your first excursion will be the ghost town of Fengdu. You will have the opportunity to learn more about ghost folklore in China. You will discover the various statues of ghosts and demons of the Chinese pantheon. In the evening, you will attend the Captain’s Welcome Party.

Day 3: Along the water

The highlight of your cruise is coming today, as you travel through the unique Three Gorges landscape. You will reach the famous Three Little Gorges, between the Quatang and Wu gorges. Go for an excursion on a small sampan (small local boat) to discover life along the river banks. Your ride will last 3 to 4 hours, then you will return to the boat to continue to the superb Xiling Gorge, famous for its shallows and fast currents.

Day 4: Yichang

Your Yangtze river cruise will end this morning after a final excursion to the Three Gorges Dam, the world’s largest irrigation project.
