Pandas and Sichuan pepper
Who hasn't heard of the iconic pandas of China? It is in Sichuan province that you will find the largest reserves of these giant and cute animals. Take the opportunity of a trip to Sichuan to observe them in these protected areas. This region is also known for its very spicy food cooked with famous "Sichuan pepper". You can test your resistance to it during a city food tour! A glass of locally grown green tea will cool it down...

Trip to Sichuan itinerary
Visit the city of Chengdu, its temples and parks as well as the panda reserve. Then you'll leave for Leshan, to discover its large sculpted Buddha, before the ascent of Mount Emei.
Itinerary
Upon your arrival at Chengdu airport, your driver will greet you and take you to your hotel in the city centre. On those first two days the highlights of your program will be the Wuhou temple, Buddhist Wenshu temple and Tibetan district, Sichuan special style of opera, panda base and a food tour to discover the culinary specialties of the region.
Day trip to discover the Leshan seated Buddha statue, an impressive 71 meters high work of art. You will then drive to the foot of Mount Emei for the night.
For one day and a half you will walk around Mount Emei, one of the five sacred Buddhist mountains, with a night in a monastery hidden in the jungle. Watch out for the monkeys! Your driver will then take you back to Chengdu.
Last day in Chengdu for this trip to Sichuan before your transfer to the airport for your next flight.
