Bungalows on the beach
On Koh Wai island, you won't find any hotel chain or private beach. This tiny island is a beautiful hidden secret, with cute bungalows close to the beach to rest at night. Comfort is simple, but you'll enjoy this very relaxing time, having the beach almost for yourself.
Itinerary
Start with a short discovery time of bustling Bangkok, before heading to Koh Wai island for a enchanted break on the beach. After the unforgettable experience of these nights in bungalows and simple life, you'll reach Koh Kood, a nearby island with a little more activities and hotel comfort. You'll finish your trip back in Bangkok.
Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Bangkok
Today you’ll fly to Bangkok. Upon arrival you will meet your driver and guide, who will take you to your hotel downtown. Rest of the day at leisure.
If you like, we can include a night tour of the old city, in order to see it in all the splendor of its glittering lights.
Day 2: Bangkok (B, L)
Today discover Bangkok with your guide: on a long-tail boat, catch glimpses of the high rises behind the quiet canals. From Chao Phraya River, you’ll visit the spectacular Wat Arun temple or “Temple of the Dawn”. Then you’ll explore the Grand Palace with its multitude of pavilions, temples, and statues such as the Emerald Buddha. After lunch on the riverside, you’ll visit Wat Saket, a tranquil temple in the centre, and walk up the hill for a view on the city. Finally, discover Wat Benchamabophit, an Italian marble temple that fuses Thai and European architecture styles, and witness the monks’ daily life.
Day 3: Bangkok – Koh Wai (B)
Today you will meet your driver who will take you to Leam Ngob pier in Trat province (~5hrs drive). There you’ll take a speedboat to Koh Wai island (~40mn). Upon arrival, you’ll settle at your bungalow and enjoy late afternoon activities: you can snorkel at the beach front, kayak on the sea, or climb up in the jungle for a view all over the island.
Day 4: Koh Wai
Free day at leisure. Take the time to slow down and enjoy a day out of time, without any obligation. Today you can snorkel at the beach front, kayak on the sea, climb up the island, read a book on the beach, swim, take a nap…
Day 5: Koh Wai – Koh Kood
Today, take a speedboat to Koh Kood island (~30mn). You’ll reach your hotel, and enjoy a free day at leisure. With your hotel, you can choose to go snorkeling, discover Klong Chao waterfall, or explore the fisherman village of Aow Yai.
Day 6: Koh Kood (B)
Free day at leisure, to enjoy your resort or discover the surroundings. With your hotel, you can choose to go snorkeling, discover Klong Chao waterfall, or explore the fisherman village of Aow Yai.
Day 7: Koh Kood – Bangkok (B)
This morning, you’ll take the speedboat to get back to the mainland, at Laem Sok pier. There, you’ll meet your driver who will take you back to Bangkok (~5hrs drive).
Day 8: Bangkok Departure (B)
Today, your driver will take you to the airport where you’ll board a flight to your next destination.
