Catherine and Bernard

Hi Emilie,

Our way back went very well and we are now back to our daily lives, after a week to readapt. We are going to give you a feedback on the strong and weak points of our trip, but this feeling only relates to our choice of destinations:

Strong points:
– the trek in Tibet and nomadic life discovery (a trek accessible to anyone as long as one doesn’t have altitude issues)
– Danxia rainbow mountains and Chinese great canyon
– Badain Jaran desert (our first desert discovery)
– Mogao grottoes and Dunhuang visit
– Huashan Taoist mount (hike up and down reserved to hikers in a good condition because of the number of steps; but it isn’t dangerous as long as one doesn’t choose the plank path)
– the Terracotta army (there was a lot of people but if one takes the time one can manage to see everything in good conditions)
-the Ming tombs and the Great Wall

Weak points:
– Labrang monastery (we saw it after going to central Tibet monasteries so we were a bit disappointed)

We lost a lot of time in transportation, because of our choice of destinations and given China’s surface area.

Concerning the trip planning we don’t have any criticism to make. Moreover all along our trip you always checked if everything was going well.

All the guides drivers were good, except maybe the one who took us to the Bingling grottoes. We were surprised to get a French-speaking guide during our trek instead of an English-speaking guide, this way we could discover much more of the nomads life.

As a conclusion, we can only recommend your agency, and we thank you for your precious help and additional visits you integrated to our initial program.

Best regards

Catherine et Bernard
