Still forgotten by the world, this small wild island, the size of Brittany, has everything to offer: - landscapes with raw nature (more than 160 mountain peaks over 3000 meters, tropical virgin forests sheltering trees over 2000 years old, numerous hot springs and white sand beaches) - a mild climate in winter (tropical and sub-tropical) - a rich history (Dutch, Spanish, Japanese, Chinese colony, and even French for a time (lost to the benefit of the Chinese) -an aboriginal community which is one of the oldest in Asia. So do not hesitate!

Arrival at Taoyuan airport, and transfer to your hotel in central Taipei.
You will discover the inhabitants of Taipei in a traditional morning market then head to the old quarter of Wanhua. You will pass in front of the Presidential Palace, then stroll through the gardens and courtyards of the former residence of the Lin family, in the middle of the city. Finally, you will stroll through the very lively night market and discover Taiwan’s famous street snacks.
This morning, you will take a taxi (at your own expense) to the nearby car rental company. Once the formalities have been completed, departure for Yangminshan Mountain, a volcano overlooking the city of Taipei. Make a stop at the impressive sulfur fumaroles of Xiaoyouken. Visit the geological site of Yeliu, then discover the charming little village of Jiufen.
You will drive to the Taroko Gorges. Along the way, you can visit the famous Kavalan whiskey distillery, or the Taiwan Center for Traditional Arts. Stop at Qingshui Viewpoint. Then you will enter the gorges, a canyon more than 19 kilometers long, ancestral lands of the aborigines of the Truku tribe. Discover waterfalls, tunnels, suspension bridges, rivers with turquoise waters along the canyon. Stroll on the many paths of the gorges.
You will meet your English-speaking guide and the most impressive hunter in the Truku community. You will discover the specificities of this aboriginal tribe during this privileged encounter. Then continue south and stop at the Bashi viewpoint, offering a panoramic view of the coast. Discover the Baxian geological cave, where the first traces of man were discovered in Taiwan. Pass by the postcard church, then discover the amazing Sanxiantai Bridge in the shape of a dragon’s back.
Wander through Chenggong Port, then continue south. Stop in the small town of Guanshan for a bike ride in the Taitung countryside.
Today depart for Kenting Peninsula and its white sand beaches.
Today, depart for Eastern Taiwan. Visit the pretty church of Wanjin, then take a little height to discover the Aboriginal village of the community of Rukai. Perched at 1000 meters above sea level, this village offers a superb view of the surrounding mountains. Stroll through the village before resting in your Hakka hostel in the middle of the rice fields, in the village of Meinong.
Visit one of the largest Buddhist monasteries (and museum) in Asia, Foguangshan Monastery. Then discover the Tiger and Dragon Pagoda.
This morning, you will meet your English-speaking guide for a day of guided tour in Tainan. You will discover the Fort Provintia, stroll in the superb Confucius Temple and pass by Koxinga Temple.
Then transfer to the station for your train to Taipei.
Free at leisure until your transfer to the airport.
