Hi Annabelle,

We arrived home safe and sound after almost 3 pleasant weeks discovering a small part of China on the Silk Road. The whole family joins me to thank you for the perfect organization of our trip, that included all our wishes and even more. We also thank all the guides who accompanied us along this trip, with two special notes.  

The first one concerns the driver and guide team that accompanied us in the beginning, in Kashgar and Tashkurgan. Real pros, always attentive to our well-being, full of humor, and extremely keen to explain their province to us.

The second note concerns the person who helped us at the hospital, doing her best to support us. She also managed to make to accelerate the exams process by explaining our special situation (I don’t have her name in mind but I’m sure you see who I’m talking about!) Marianne and Aman were also really good. 

The only negative point: Jeanne. Obviously, and beyond the passports issue, she wasn’t interested in us. Her explanations were always very basic and she always walked far ahead of us, not showing any will to talk with us. I think her personnality better suits young people than seniors. She also was the only one who didn’t accompany us inside the train station to guide us and help us find our train and platform… It didn’t ruin our holidays but we wanted you to know about this behavior that really doesn’t suit her profession.
